Plagiarism Policy
Foresight and Public Health upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and strictly prohibits any form of plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts undergo a thorough plagiarism screening process using iThenticate, a leading plagiarism detection software. The journal adheres to the following guidelines:
- Direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and mosaic plagiarism are strictly prohibited.
- Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% (excluding references and common phrases) are subject to editorial review and potential rejection.
- Authors are required to properly cite all sources and acknowledge contributions from previous research.
- In cases of detected plagiarism, authors will be notified and given an opportunity to provide justification. If plagiarism is confirmed, the manuscript will be rejected, and the authors may be blacklisted from future submissions.
Maintaining the integrity of published research is a fundamental priority for Foresight and Public Health, ensuring the trustworthiness and credibility of our journal.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
To sustain the open-access model and cover editorial, peer-review, and publishing costs, Foresight and Public Health charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 100 USD per accepted article.
The APC covers:
- Manuscript processing and editorial review.
- Double-blind peer review management.
- High-quality production, formatting, and online hosting.
- Long-term archiving and indexing.
There are no submission fees. Authors are required to pay the APC only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.
Peer-Review Process
Foresight and Public Health follows a double-blind, anonymous peer-review process, where neither the authors nor the reviewers are aware of each other’s identities. This ensures unbiased and objective evaluation of all submitted manuscripts.
The peer-review process consists of the following stages:
- Initial Editorial Screening: Manuscripts are reviewed by the editorial board to assess their relevance, originality, and adherence to journal guidelines.
- Assignment to Reviewers: Each manuscript is sent to two or three independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
- Review and Feedback: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s quality, methodology, significance, and clarity, providing detailed feedback and recommendations.
- Editorial Decision: Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor makes a final decision: accept, revise, or reject.
- Author Revisions: If revisions are required, authors must respond to reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript for further evaluation.
- Final Acceptance and Publication: After satisfactory revisions, the manuscript is accepted, formatted, and published online.
Our rigorous peer-review system ensures the publication of high-quality, credible, and impactful research. The whole process may take up to 8 weeks.
Archiving and Repository Policies
Foresight and Public Health is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of published research. The journal follows the self-archiving policy, allowing authors to deposit their accepted manuscripts in institutional repositories and public archives.
